BAMS Full Form is Bachelor of Ayurvedic, Medicine and Surgery. BAMS course is a UG level degree course to train students in the field of ayurveda and ayurvedic medicine. Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) is the responsible body for the admission and practice of Ayurvedic medicine in India. Bachelor of Ayurvedic, Medicine and Surgery can be abbreviated to BAMS or B.A.M.S.

MD/MS (Ayurveda) is a Postgraduate level degree in Medicine that deals with the recognition of different surgical techniques, surgical disorders, surgical emergency management, trauma, etc. The course provides knowledge of both modern and traditional surgical techniques. Unlike usual Master degrees in India, the duration of the Master of Surgery in Ayurveda is a three year. The course is further divided into different semesters.
Candidates must ensure to meet certain eligibility criteria to get admission in M.S. in Ayurveda. It is also important for interested candidates to know that meeting the following criteria do not, in any way, ensure a candidate’s admission in the course. The basic eligibility criteria for PhD Ayurveda is post graduation in a relevant discipline with not less than 55% aggregate marks
